Day 1 of Vegan MoFo...Chili

I'm not very good with blogging, please forgive me! I should get better by the end of the month. :-)
Tonight for dinner we're having my momma's chili (veganized). I don't really do recipes, but I can give you a general idea of how to make it so that YOU love! :-)

Momma’s Chili
Ingredients
2-46 oz cans of tomato juice
TVP or Vegan “ground meat” (enough to make it as “meaty” as you like)
Salsa (whatever your favorite is)
Chili powder (to taste)
Spaghetti (broken into tiny bits)

Method
Pour everything in a big pot a simmer until it’s all cooked.

Serve w/vegan cornbread. I made this one today, it's ok but not the best I've ever had. http://www.recipezaar.com/Vegan-Cornbread-115929

ENJOY!!

  1. Hi Linzey.
I'm so jealous that you guys have such a wonderful range of vegan options. I was reading on your older 'Recipes' post, and would so love to be able to buy 'sour cream' and the other things.I know I can have a go at making it, but when you want a quick meal of, say, nachos and you want sour cream... you get the picture!
    haha
    Anyway, Happy MoFo-ing!

  2. I understand. I couldn't find sour cream the other day and I was irritated. Where are you that you can't get 'sour cream'?

  3. I'm in Melbourne. I love reading blogs from other countries but Uk and USA vegans/bloggers are so lucky with the variety of vegan friendly foods! The only cheeze we have available to us is redwoods Cheezly and it is sooo expensive. And I have never found any sour cream! It would have to be imported and I am not sure it would last the journey!
